Well that is the name that is reported to be fixed for the latest Vikram film in the offing. The film which was earlier titled ‘Deiva Magan’ and then renamed ‘Pitha’ did not make it to the finish. Reason, the names were not available. The film is directed by Vijay.

Insiders suggest that the lead actor and the director were pondering on what name to finalize when the director suddenly landed on ‘Deiva Thiru Magan’. It was an instant OK from Vikram too who seems to have liked this title. Vikram who literally gives himself to the character that he performs is happy that this film took the director just four months from the time the clapboard clapped for the first time!

The film sees Vikram in the protagonist’s role with Anushka and Amala Paul essaying important roles. G.V. Prakash as contributed to the tunes in the film and Anthony has clipped the scenes to perfection at which he is usually the best. The cinematography of the film has been handled by Nirav Shah.

The cast and crew are big names in the industry and this film smells of success right from the word go. There are some rumors doing the rounds that ‘Deiva Thiru Magan’ slightly resembles the Hollywood film ‘I Am Sam,’ but the director has strictly replied in the negative. A tentative release date has not been fixed for the release of this film.
